Our Member in Need story began over 26 years ago.

Twenty-six years ago, the REBNY Foundation established the Residential “Member in Need Fund,” a grant program created to aid members of the residential brokerage community struggling through obstacles and unforeseen financial hardship. This year, our Foundation has seen a record number of applications as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. As independent contractors, most of our members were unemployed from March through June or longer. To continue to finance these grants, our Member in Need Fund Committee will be hosting REBNY’s Annual Deal of the Year Charity and Awards Gala entirely online!

 

This year, our goal is to raise funds through our VIRTUAL 32nd Annual Deal of the Year Charity & Awards Gala, which will be hosted entirely online Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 6pm – 8pm.

This virtual celebration serves as an exciting opportunity to honor members who have completed extraordinary deals, recognize those who have performed community service both within our industry and outside the real estate business, and raise critical funds for our grant program. This Deal of the Year experience will include time-honored awards presentations, a virtual photo booth, and so much more. We’ll also be raising money through online donations, exciting raffles, and sponsorship opportunities.

We hope you’ll consider donating to this cause and celebrating a night of Many Stories highlighting triumph, success and most importantly, hope. See you in December!
